Cronulla Beach CBD Rateable area
There are approximately 270 professional and retail businesses in the Cronulla Beach CBD rateable area - see the Businesses map for locations. The commercial property owners within this area pay a special levy which is used to market and promote the area, stage events and entertainment and part-fund security. The spending of the special levy is overseen by the Cronulla Promotions Ltd Board.
Business premises in the rateable area are all leased independently, not by the CBD Management. Many real estate offices within the CBD (see the Business Directory) manage the leases of these premises. When setting up a business in the CBD, potential business owners must contact Sutherland Shire Council in regards to development applications and other consents.
Business owners are all invited to become members of the Cronulla Chamber of Commerce.
The Shire's new website for business information is open for business. It aims to inform the community of business initiatives and promote a better information exchange between council, its partners in business development, education and training and the business community.
